The work behind the name.
Dr. Rahul Shah leads the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and its foundation. A pediatric otolaryngologist by training, he previously held hospital leadership roles at Children’s National. His professional work has included patient safety, resource use, quality improvement, and medical education. He assumed the Academy’s executive leadership role in December 2024.
