WashU Medicine’s otolaryngology department identified four clinical faculty recruits in its September 24 account of a department town hall held September 18.
The department named Morgan Sandelski, MD, and Andres Bur, MD, for Head and Neck Surgery; Sebastian Jara, MD, as a sleep specialist; and Amit Walia, MD, MSCI, for Neurotology. The announcement does not provide individual start dates.
WashU also said it anticipates opening expanded clinical space at CAM–Sunset Hills on October 15. The planned larger footprint would allow more specialties to see patients there. That date remains a target, not confirmation that the space is already operating.
The same update described sleep medicine as an area of potential program development. It did not announce a completed new sleep program.
Faculty recruitment and a planned clinical expansion point to where academic ENT capacity may grow. The announced recruits and opening date should be tracked as plans until the department confirms they are in place.
